ACER PALMATUM (JAPANESE MAPLES)
GREEN WEEPING MAPLES:  There are fewer varieties of green and they are less striking than the reds to be sure but green is a stable reliable color for the yard and weeping maples are beautiful no matter the color.  For medium to larger yards a mix of greens and reds makes a nice effect.  Sometimes there is too much red in the yard already and you need a nice a soft green plant.  You will find it below.

Weeping Maples
Emerald Lace: A darker green laceleaf maple than most other greens. Has lacey foliage that is vigorous in the spring with new growth being yellow green. By summer the color darkens. The fall color is a bright burgundy red. Grows up to 13ft.

Filigree:  The leaves of this maple hold a solf lime green color in the spring. The leaf has a unique verigation of creamy speckles with green margins. Has quite a different look between the sun and shade where the verigation is not as apparent. Has a mounding spreading habit and becomes a round cascading tree up to 6ft.

Goshi shidare:  The leaves emerge in the spring as a dull red and some leaves are completely white. As the leaves unfold various colors randomly cover the leaves. Needs protection from afternoon sun. Verigation is not as vivid as the summer progresses. A slow grower with a cascading habit. Reaches up to 5ft.

Green cascade: (japonicum): This maple has the finely cut leaves. Very bright green in color similar to Acontifolium in shape. The difference is this maple crawls along the ground and weeps hard. A nice plant for a cascading look beside rock or water features. Fall color is orange and red. Grows with vigor but needs staking.​

Viridis:  This is a popular weeping green maple. A vigorous grower with a mounding cascading habit. Has beautiful orange red color in the fall. Reaches up to 12ft.

Waterfall:  This maple has a larger leaf than the other green weepers. As vigorous as viridis with a sharper cascading habit. The name waterfall come from the graceful appearance the leaves show as they are close together. Up to 12ft.
