ACER PALMATUM (JAPANESE MAPLES)
RED WEEPING MAPLES:  A classic choice for any size yard.  Red weepers are very versitile as they make nice speciman-focus plants.  They work well on hills and corners, around rocks and most thrive in full sun.  There is variation among the red weepers in terms of color and structure.  For orange color you have Ornatum, Orangeola, and Garnet.  For deep reds to purple there is Crimson Queen and Tamukeyama.  Some red weepers cascade more sharply than others and some stay low so take note of the "Plant Features" when selecting.  A weeping red maple always brings beauty to the yard.
